It protects Australia's sporting integrity through the elimination of doping and it is the organisation with prime responsibility for implementation of the World Anti-Doping Code in Australia. Gridiron Queensland is the state peak body for Gridiron (American Football) in Queensland. Gridiron has become a rapidly rising sport in south-east Queensland since first played in 1985. Recent participation trends indicate that the growth of this high impact sport is about to explode. Clubs range in location from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast, Capalaba to Toowoomba.
